A 2 day National Seminar & Clinical Workshop on Ayurveda-Yoga for Healthy Society (SAMBHASHA 2018) was conducted by Dhanwantari Ayurved Medical College & Hospital, Udgir. It was affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik & Maharashtra Council of Indian Medicine, Mumbai.

Hon. Dr. Dileep Mhaisekar (Vice-Chancellor, MUHS, Nashik), Hon. Dr. Shriram Savarikar (Ex Vice-Chancellor, GAU, Jamnagar), Hon. Dr. Girish Mainderkar (Member, MCI, New Delhi), Hon. Dr. Hemantkumar Borse (Dy Director, P.H.S., Latur Circle) and other dignitaries were present during the seminar.

Tree Plantation Campaign

Tree Plantation Campaign was arranged in the campus and its surroundings to increase the green belt and cultivate herbal medicines. A tree plantation drive was carried from to with support of NSS unit of the institute. More than 50 species and over 200 saplings were planted during this campaign. Few highlights of this campaign are as follows:

Blood Donation Camp

National Voluntary Blood Donation Day (1st October) was celebrated in the campus in the first week of October. To celebrate this day, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized in the College hospital with the help of National Service Scheme Unit of the institute and courtesy of IRCS Nagappa Ambarkhane Blood Bank, Udgir. Total 36 volunteers, students, staff and civilians donated blood on this day.
A lecture on the Blood Donation, its process and importance was also delievered by Dr. . On this occasion, Dr. N.S.Jadhav (NSS Program Officer & Asso.Professor, Department of Rogvijnana) delivered introductory speech and highlighted the importance of blood donation. It was followed by the guest lecture by Dr. . Dr. D.V.Patil (Principal, Head & Professor, Department of Sanskrit, Samhita, Siddhant) gave his presidential remarks and urged the NSS volunteers and students to create awareness about blood donation and its benefits. Program was ended with vote of thanks from Dr. V.A.Biradar (NSS Asst.Program Officier & Asst. Professor, Department of Kriya-Sharir).
