Ayurveda is ancient science of medicine in India since last Five Thousand Years. Despite of many advances in sciences, Ayurveda is one of the most popular systems of medicine attracting new disciples all over the world.
This department deals with Basic principles of Ayurveda through Samhitas and Siddhanta of Ayurveda. As most of the classical text is written in Sanskrit, this department caters to the Sanskrit language needs of the undergraduate students.
Objectives:
- To teach the fundamental concepts of Ayurveda.
- To teach basics of Sanskrit language.
- To carry out fundamental and literary research.
